She also was co-writer on Uchi: The Cookbook, in conjunction with James Beard Award winning Chef Tyson Cole and The Salt Lick Cookbook: A Story of Land, Family and Love on the iconic Texas barbecue restaurant. Her most recent cookbook collaboration was with Texas chef Jack Gilmore on Jack Allen's Kitchen: Celebrating the Tastes of Texas. She is a Certified Sommelier & Certified Specialist of Wine, member of Les Dames D'Escoffier of Austin, is on the advisory board for the Wine and Food Foundation of Texas, and is a lifelong Texan. Dupuy lives in Austin with her husband, her two Duck Tolling retrievers, her son Gus, and daughter Ashlyn.

As a native Texan, I love this cookbook. The recipes are broken up by regions, so you get a nice variety of local cuisines from coastal fish/shrimp, central Texas comfort foods, to South Texas Tex-Mex, and even some eastern Cajun. All the recipes are easily doable by everyone without a huge list of crazy ingredients and most importantly, they're really tasty. And I love that everything features a well photographed example of the dish. I plan on buying this for some family members for Christmas. Two thumbs way up!

This is my most favorite cookbook at the moment, and I know I'll keep going back to it for repeats in the future. I've made probably about 20 recipes from this book so far, and nothing disappoints. It's all been incredibly wonderful, and I can't wait to cook from it each week for our family dinners on Sunday. I haven't made any desserts from the book since we don't eat them often, but I do plan on making the Nieman Marcus Cake this week. I have at least 20 more recipes bookmarked for the future, and I'm pretty sure I'm not going to stop until I've cooked everything.The pictures are wonderful, and there are plenty of recipes worthy of the price of the book. I'm not one that likes a lot of stories in my cookbook, and there are a couple here and there in this one, but they fit in. I love how the cookbook is separated by different regions of Texas and also offers a couple of menu ideas for BBQs and holidays.I HIGHLY recommend the Charro Beans! My husband who absolutely hates beans and never ever eats them, ate the Charro Beans and even asked for more. The Chicken & Dumplings was also a major favorite, and my family went back for seconds. Some of the recipes can be quite lengthy in time, so I suggest reading your recipe at least 2 days ahead of time to make sure you're prepared. Well worth it!

This is a really great cookbook! I am a native Texan, and all of these recipes look really authentic and delicious! So far, all that I have tried have been awesome, especially the King Ranch Casserole - this is the absolute best one that I have ever tried or made! This is my go-to recipe from now on!! Plus, I love the regional stories, the photos, everything! I am slowly making my way through this book, and looking forward to making more of the recipes!! This is a great addition to your cookbook collection, for sure!

Wonderful cookbook with Texan/Tex Mex recipes. Every single item we have cooked, baked or stirred (YES! It even has awesome drink recipes) has been phenomenal! LOVE this book and bought it for two family members and a good friend who cooks daily.

If you like TX Bar-B-Q and have a smoker, this is the cookbook for you. VERY authentic recipes and great results. I no longer live in TX but I do miss the food. This cookbook let's me relive all that I like about TX cooking.

This is a wonderful cook book!!! Beautifully photographed, recipes are easy to follow along with and I love the regional breakdown of Texas cuisine! The San Antonio Puffy Tacos were tasty, the Texas Beefed up Bloody Mary made my family's Sunday Brunch, and the Tequlia lime pie was super refreshing in this 115 degree Atizona heat!!! I'll definitely be cumin back ya'll! 😉

Have tried a couple recipes from this book so far. Highly approve!

Bought as a gift for a friend in Mongolia who has never been to Texas.
