As much as I loved this book, I wish there was a little bit more "serious" note to it.Now don't get me wrong, I highly enjoyed the book! It made me smile, it made me laugh, it got me emotional, and it made me think. I read their stories that they've never told before in the book, saw adorable pictures and read what other guest writers had to say about Rhett & Link.But there are some things I wish they wrote about. I would have liked for the guys to write about their experiences with "failure", what made them keep going when some of their projects didn't work out (Online Nations, Commerical Kings, etc). What did Rhett think when his father didn't want him to go to film school, and what did his father think when they were no longer engineers but posted videos online. How did Ben inspired Rhett & Link, and his battle with cancer. What did Link think of his family growing up, with his parents divorces.I know this book is mainly focused on Mythicality, and is not really a autobiography. But I hope the guys do another book in the future that is more memoir based.Overall, the book was a good read with awesome visuals.

This book is Rhett and Link at their finest, and in my favorite medium. I couldn't put it down (which may have been a bad thing since I'd taken it to work to read during breaks and I had gotten to the part where Stevie talks about her first day watching Rhett and Link have a slap fight I was laughing out loud and a co worker starts walking through. I had to hold in my laughter while they walked by giving me an odd look). I've been a mythical beast for years now and knew some of the references and stories, but I got to read a lot of new stories and the extra content at the end of the chapter's are hilarious. It really shows you more into their nearly lifelong friendship and more of their distinct personalities. I highly recommend The Book of Mythicality to anyone who wants a laugh, whether their a beast or not.

Most Youtube personalities simply crank out books with no creativite interest simply to be paid by their fans. Not Rhett and Link though. The Book of Mythicality is a sturdy, legitimate hardcover book that is chock-full of pure creative energy. Every chapter feels so inspired and passionate. While reading, you can tell that they truly had a blast writing this book, which makes reading it also a blast. I was worried that this book would disappoint, but it absolutely did not. In fact, I'm now going to buy the audiobook as wel just so I can listen to this anywhere I go. If you are in any way, shape, or form a fan of any of the terrific content that R&L have provided over the years, this is a must buy. GMM has been a part of my daily routine since season 4 and have since watched pretty much everything they've ever made multiple times (including Buddy System season 1), so maybe I am a little biased... but I have am very sure that any mythical beast would love owning a copy of this book.

I bought this for my son's high school graduation in 2018 because he is a fan of Good Mythical Morning. I wasn't sure what to expect and my curiosity got the better of me. I started reading it and couldn't put it down. It turns out that it may be one the best gifts you could give someone for just such an occasion. Great advice, inspirational and funny. It is one of many items I'm giving him for his graduation, but this may be one of the best. Great job Rhett & Link. You have been a positive and hilarious source of entertainment for my two boys for several years. Thank you!

The book appears to dive deeper than the stories they have told on their various Internet-tainment channels. After a career in publishing (as executive editor of Playboy and TV Guide), Golson decided it was time to plan for retirement. With a modest nest egg and an urge for sunshine and adventure, he and his wife traveled Mexico researching American retirees for an AARP article that eventually won a Lowell Thomas award and became the seed for this funny and practical book. On impulse, Golson and his wife also bought land in their favorite spot, the Mexican seaside village of Sayulita. Returning to build their home, they realized their cliffside property was impractical; with the remainder of their savings, they bought more land and started their dream house. As with most home-building sagas, they faced obstacles (permit hassles, contractors who backed out) and made errors (the staircase didn't reach the roof) but, magically, the house was ready when the extended family arrived for Thanksgiving. In the end, the house-building process became their vehicle for cultural transplantation; by the time their home was finished, the Golsons knew a lot more about Mexican village life and felt totally comfortable with their new neighbors. Great insight into the process, experience of moving to Mexico, re-establishing a home base in a foreign land. Very well written, I felt present with them each step of the way. The approach of the author was to show honor to the 'true' residents of this small Mexico village by the sea, learning to trust those he met, as they began the process of buying land, building their dream home. Lessons were learned, friendships established, and a most beautiful house was built by the end of the book. The author doesn't portray he and his wife as "lucky Mexico, we are here!", but rather "how lucky we are, to be living in your Mexico" The respect for the locals came through loud and clear and that made their journey shared even more inviting for me!

Having just completed out first year living in a different small seaside town in Mexico, I can attest to the authenticity of Barry and Thia's experiences and appreciate their outlook on living in Mexico. I found myself following my husband around, reading passages out loud to him, i.e., "You've got to hear this!" Golson does an especially good job of describing the naivete with which they (and we) began the experience and the incremental ways they learned to love a side of Mexico you can only experience as a resident.The hopes and the frustrations involved in building a home here are accurately and humorously described. But for me, the real value of this book is the unpretentious way he describes the development of their deep affection for Mexico and Mexicans. My husband and I have reached the same conclusions, through a series of experiences that are very similar to theirs.If you are considering a move to Mexico, this is an instructive read - not so much for the information about homebuilding (although it IS helpful and accurate) but more for the story of acclimation to a culture that is SO much more different than you could ever imagine.Many authors have taken advantage of the growing trend to move south and we have read most of them. Along with Don Adam's book (Head for Mexico), this is the one I would recommend.

A reader would have to have worked hard to miss the series of books written over the last 20 years about those with income aplenty building their dream homes abroad, including Peter Mayle's "A Year in Provence" and Frances Mayes' "Under the Tuscan Sun". Each of those books examined the difference between the local community portrayed and building back at home. Each told stories of little risk, a little frustration, and the great reward of adding another cultural experience to an otherwise priviledged life.This book differs from that genre in that it is written from the perspective of the 50+ year old author and his wife, who, having found themselves cast out jobs, with little in the way of pension plan or the assets (a house or two) accumulated during a lifetime, pick up and move to Mexico. In doing so, they place everything at risk.While "Gringos Abroad" has the usual good architect/bad builder stories (or vice versa), the story told here adds an examination of how the author, being faced with the risk of a mid- (or is it late-) life change, made the decision to move on. Gringos Abroad is filled with more introspective stories that touch upon the decision making process, making this book far less precious others in the genre.While reading the book, I confess drifting away from the village of Sayulita, where the book is set, and thinking about a move to Provence or Tuscany, but wondering whether I'd be able to find neighbors like the Golsons there. For a person considering move under circumstances similar to the author's, this might be the book that sends the reader packing.

While I agree with others, a few more figures would have been useful, but leaving the numbers out does make the writing a little more timeless. For example, the community the Golson's chose was already feeling the rampant growth that happens when we gringo's discover a town when they got there. They probably paid more than an early arrival, and clearly a lot less than a more recent one.What I loved about the book was it spent a good bit of time talking about some of the other challenges faced, and the emotions that evolve from that. Early in their adventure they had a couple of experiences with the health care system, and they talked about the incumbent fears. Very useful, and also very comforting.I'm glad I chose this as my "first" book as we approach a decision in the next few years. It took me out of thinking of it only as a "numbers" game, and helped us work through some of the deeper issues.

The author, a professional writer, penned a well-written classic tale of his first year in a small Pacific-coast town wherein he builds a fairly fancy house with his wife. All their ups and downs are described in great humorous detail, but what I appreciated the most were his comments about the insights he gained about the Mexican people in his dealings with the male workers he employed in constructing his house. As someone considering a move to Mexico, I found his hard-earned insights extremely valuable. I heartily recommend this book to anyone considering a move to Mexico, especially if you are thinking of building a house down there, in which case it's invaluable.

No good, waste of time! I can't believe that there will be this little value in this book total waste, this is more like a scam to me it shouldn't be considered as business teaching, on top of it the website is not even working, don't buy this it's just ridiculous

I found it to be a bunch of stories about different persons rise and falls and noreal information to make money...so now is when you have to pay to get info...for sure i would have not bought it if i knew ahead of time about the content.

Don't bother.Seriously. Don't bother.Very little actionable information. It's the equivalent of an infomercial- a lot of hype, nothing useful.

I ordered this book and received it very quickly. I had a question about the book because I thought I had ordered the wrong one at first, and they were very helpful and quickly answered my questions. As far as the book goes, first of all I am a huge Dan Lok fan. And in his book he did not disappoint. I like how he points out how important mindset is and how limiting beliefs can hold people back. I also really enjoyed how he emphasizes the importance of taking responsibility for your own life and not pointing fingers at others. If your business sucks, it's because you suck as a business owner and not because of anything that anyone else has done or said. He speaks the truth and is brutally honest about your business and at the same time is very candid and open with information that will help you to succeed. It's an excellent read. He is very straightforward and once again brutally honest, so if you don't like the truth then you won't like what he has to say. However, if you have a growth mindset on our open for self development, growth and Improvement then he is definitely the author for you. His books are well-written, straightforward, to the point and have interesting stories within the chapters as well. I would highly recommend all of his books, Especially this one F.Um Money 💰 and his book Influence: 47 forbidden psychological tactics you can use to motivate, influence and persuade your prospect. Probably one of his best books in my humble opinion. You really cannot go wrong with this man if you are trying to improve your business and yourself. (He also has an amazing YouTube channel called Boss in the Bentley and a podcast called standing on the shoulders of Titans, also great ways to expand your mindset). I love this guy's teachings and his style, he's nothing short of amazing and genius

You must be wondering why there only one star for a great book like this...Yes, i just aim to get your attention and tell you that this is a good book!

If you've ever watched his Ted Talk, then you probably don't need this book. It's mostly rooted in the basics of any money wisdom you can find in better books and is full of profanity, which is a bit distracting and makes it less likely to be suggested to others.

Mr. Dan, I just finished reading your book and I have realized just how lazy I have been, how many excuses I have made as to why I'm not financially free. Thank you for writing this book and giving me the kick in the face that I needed to get my head screwed in right. My goal now is to do my research and get my business started. 13 yr old son loved this book & all the others written by Jack Gantos. The guy writes great books for boys. My son can't get into the Harry Potter type fiction. This was just his style!

I liked this book because Gantos managed to fill a book with just a few days and keep me interested.

I am not at all familiar with the works of Jack Gantos, and it is my understanding that The Trouble in Me is a fictionalized memoir of what appears to have been a very troubled childhood. Gantos was apparently one of those very awkward kids who never fit in to the middle school and high school culture. While he had a good relationship with his mother,his father is portrayed as a tyrant similar to the father in The Great Santini. Things really start going downhill in the author's life when he become acquainted with Gary Pagoda, a delinquent teen who has already had several brushes with the law. A book I would share with someone age 13 and up, particularly someone with relationship and self esteem issues. I am not sure if the author is a totally reliable narrator, but the story speaks to those of us who had a hard time fitting in when we were in our early teens.

Joey Pigza remains my favorite of all the books of Jack Gantos. I can't remember a character like Joey. Joey Pigza showed up just as our collective awareness of ADHD was growing, but Joey is just an impulsive kid who can't sit still. He doesn't need a label; he just needs understanding and acceptance and patience. Later Jack Gantos is asked about his brush with the law in author interviews, and Gantos decides to talk...candidly. This book is a continuation of that candid conversation. In this book, Gantos explores the pivotal relationship with an older neighbor kid whom he has often referred and how that relationship changed his life forever. It's not just an autobiography or a true-life coming-of-age story. Gantos uses his own story to explore and reveal what happens when a kid "turns bad." It isn't that his story speaks of something largely human; it is that he purposefully uses his story to explore questions of what motivates us, why do some people draw us in, why do we follow, what makes some of us more vulnerable to risks than others, and so forth. I love his mission. His prose isn't as clear as his purpose though. I wish the story was as stripped down as his aims. Instead, the story is loaded up with metaphor after metaphor, description after description, and his words are as thick as that murky canal in the sweltering Florida afternoon. Worth the read but wish the ride was a bit more slippery like the story itself.

I am a snotty English major with a few advanced degrees, hooked on science fiction and the headier type of literature. I needed an audible book for the car and grabbed this one because it was the first on the list. I could have driven across country without stopping. Fantastic characterization, intriguing plot, really a perfect summer read and the audible narrator is delightful. I have already purchased another book by Kerry Fisher for my next long car journey.

I had yet to find a book I enjoyed as much as " Girl on a train" until now. I can"t put it down and will be sorry when it ends.

This book was really well written and enjoyable. It did mention in the reviews that she was similar to Liane Moriarty, who I'm a big fan of. Unfortunately, I came across this book while I was browsing thrillers. This book is categorized as a thriller, but it is not a thriller. At all. It's a wonderful story about family that is very emotionally charged, but it's not in any way a thriller. Anyone specifically looking for a thriller will be disappointed by this book.

The Silent Wife is the story of two women who at the beginning are only connected by the men they have married. In time, they become friends and later on each other's support system.The book begins with Maggie getting married to Nico Farinelli. She knows his mother Anna disapproves of her but she has fallen in love with him. After so many broken relationships, she has finally found a man she can count on and who thinks of her son Sam as family. Nico also has a daughter from his first marriage, Francesca. Maggie hopes to become a friend to her.Lara is married to Massimo, Nico's brother and they have one child, Sandro. Lara's also the second wife. Massimo divorced Dawn when she refused to have children. Lara couldn't believe when Massimo started courting her and soon he makes her forget all her reservations but after the wedding everything changes.There were so many things I like about the story. Lara and Maggie were both strong in their own way. They both had to deal with Nico and Massimo's mother Anna. She was not an easy person to like. She was always looking for ways to offend the "new wives". As the matriarch of the family, she made sure both sons lived in the same street as her. She even has a key to enter their homes uninvited.Not only did Maggie have to deal with Anna but with her teenage step-daughter, Francesca who was trying very hard to make Maggie feel like an outsider. Lara's life was not any easier. Hers was a hotter hell.These women were both so different but life brought them together. They both were dealing with secrets that could affect their whole family's dynamic. I rooted for both of them to make it.The Silent Wife is a very entertaining tale full of emotion, heartache, complicated relationships, love and friendship. This book was completely out of the range I normally read but it was wonderful. A family always has problems and usually we all have our secrets. Yet being a step parent you always walk a fine line yet give to where at times you wonder if it is worth it. When I was not reading this book, I was thinking about it! I put myself in all their places and I just HAD to get back to reading to see what was going to happen. Kerry Fisher did a beautiful job on making you feel as if you were part of this extended family and now I'm sad I am finished .

The topic of abuse that is feared and hidden behind the walls of a home is not a pleasant, "feel-good" topic, but I am pleased to know that this difficult topic is making its way into novels. The two women who have married brothers seem unlikely to form a bond or friendship. However, as more and more secrets are revealed, they begin to help one another manage life, though their challenges are very different. Thank you for writing about a topic that needs to see more light of day, with an occasional phrase or sentence that made me smile.

I think it was a great summer read. Not what I usually pick, but I was delighted with it. It dragged a little at the beginning but then as the drama increased, I looked forward to my reading time more and more. I could definately see myself in one of the characters, and could imagine the turmoil of all the family feelings. I liked the way she wrote it from both the 2 womans prospective. I think its well worth your time and enjoyment.

The language is a bit difficult. Lots of British slang and nuances made it difficult to follow. And the promised twist was nothing as promised. There was no twist at all. Predictable, all the way to the end. I was disappointed and a bit mad at the time and money wasted. It was a big promise to make, and the only one that led me to buy this book. I don’t feel as if there’s anything I could honestly recommend to anyone considering this as a purchase. All I can say is “don’t bother”.

A GREAT compilation on Nevilles works . .

The Bible reference verses have been edited out, I was to use this book to go deeper into the Bible teachings, If I had known I would have not purchased this book.

Everything that Neville Goddard has written has been helpful for me in my life.

A must read for anyone interested in improving their life.

I love Neville Goddard's work.

Excellent book - well laid out clear and large font. Neville was one of the greatest mental scientists, and this book presents all his best writing and lectures. IMO Neville was far greater than Murphy, and his works are up there with Thomas Troward, Charles Haanel and Robert Collier and Ernest Holmes.I have the book in hardback purchased from Book Depository.The major criticism I have -and the reason I’ve deleted a star-is that the biblical passages are not sourced to the particular book in scripture. That is a poor decision by the editor, who second guessed that Neville did not regard them as important. The other criticism is that although a hardback the page sections are glued to the spine rather than sown. So it gets 90/100, but would get 100/100 if these issues were addressed.It’s also a little heavy and bulky as one would expect. I find myself reading facsimile copies of certain books (Feeling is the Secret, At Your command, and a couple of IMO his other best books). They are lighter and well laid out and not edited at all- be careful about Neville editions as most delete the scripture references and some especially bad ones even omit the scripture passages. Neville plainly regarded these as important or else he would not have included them.This edition includes the passages but omits the references. Still, to have them all in this Collection is excellent.Neville had a very different interpretation of the bible from most, and it is profound. I personally think it’s correct. It’s a shame the references are not included- the editor should have honoured Neville’s intentions and included them. His view they are unimportant is clearly wrong. The books are available electronically with the scriptural sources cited.

The, or should be THE difference in this book and any other I"ve ever read is how it's formatted. It's formatted to READ, not for the publishers convenience. A true Readers' book. The life changing information inside is priceless, btw. Thank you David Allen for the definitive compilation of Neville Goddards publications. As a bonus, there's Goddards Class Lessons from 1948, PLUS his Radio talks he gave in Los Angeles in 1951. This book is a treasure.

The Mad Giant: Shioni of Sheba is the third installment in the Shioni series. I have also read the first two. It continues the adventures of a young white slave girl named Shioni in the kingdom of West Sheba.Of the three books I enjoyed this one the most. The first one had a good amount of adventure and introduced the characters. The second book felt like it lulled a bit since so many of the pages were dedicated to character development but that has paid off in this third book which is full of action and drama. Unlike the first book, where Shioni pretty much did things on her own, in the third book Shioni teams up with three of the other characters which adds dimension.I won’t spoil the story by giving out too much of what happens but in this adventure Shioni and her friends risk all to save the kingdom and the people she loves.The story is written for young adults and has a bit more violence than the first two (there are descriptions of the warring tribes’ battles, for example) but I think it is no more graphic than other children’s books such as the Narnia series.An engaging, enjoyable read. Five stars.

Loved it

In one of the best middle-grades/teen adventure series ever, Shioni's adventures continue. The exotic setting in magical West Sheba competes with the tense mystery and the twisty plotting for the reader's greatest enjoyment, right along with the riveting action scenes - life and death battles, sometimes. In this book Shioni learns some of Talaku's secrets, as the young man just keeps growing more enourmous - and begins to change, in a way that is sometimes frightening. The engaging characters are an integral part of the story, drawing the reader to keep following Shioni's trail from one book to the next. Superb, outstanding, love it!

What more can I say, but I really like this series? This book was no exception to that rule. The characters are either very likeable or very hateable (if that's a word). Thank you author for putting this out in Kindle Unlimited for readers like me and thank you Amazon for keeping me happy.

Book 3 of a wonderful series. Read them in order and enjoy being swept away to another time and place.

Well written, has a ton of information, but so much of it is not useful to me at all. Most things that are said I already know even as common sense. It is a good read, but not really worth buying it to let it sit now. I could get a list of those things online to go back and review. Needs more wording and a reference to an online list to read and not just to fill out the pages.

This book recommends an oddly chosen hodgepodge of jobs that are not especially well suited to mid-life career changers. You might as well open any book on careers and put your finger down at random. The suggestions ranged from lower-level jobs that you don't need a book to tell you about (office cleaner, home health care aide, retail -- and I'm not sure I'd call these great for those who are older and less able to stand for long periods or do heavy lifting) to those with a high barrier of entry, such as a Ph.D. (seriously?). The ones that fall under the actual category of "great jobs" are pretty much those that require master's degrees and Ph.D.s. How many people over 50, in this economy, have the motivation and money to go back to graduate school to retrain for a completely different career field that they then may not be able to break into thanks to their age? Also, the difficulty of breaking into some of these careers is underestimated or misleading, such as suggesting that "no formal training" is needed to work as a copyeditor, writer, or editor. Good luck trying to compete with scores of experienced writers who have been downsized from newspapers, magazines, and other media and are scrambling to find work in an oversaturated field. (No, I'm not one of them.) BUT, if you are completely at sea and looking for job suggestions, some of the listed jobs may trigger some ideas.The more general job advice in the second half of the book is likewise a mixed bag. It ranges from the demeaning/condescending ("keep your hand out of the [retirement account] cookie jar") and blatantly obvious (eat healthy) to the genuinely useful (the chapter on non-profit work). There is enough of potential use in this section, depending on how clued-in you are about job-hunting, that I gave this book three stars instead of two.I'd suggest getting this one from the library and skimming it to see what parts might be useful for you.

As previous reviewers have posted, this mostly has low minimum wage paying jobs and the book was of very little value--much better resources out there. I find it interesting as well that some people post reviews when they have not read the book yet. Therefore, I don't go necessarily on the number of stars a product has but actual reviews of people who have used/read the product. This set of reviews kind of fooled me--as the reviews mostly were good when I found the book of very little value. Appreciate the ease at which you can return a book/product.

School bus driver? Volunteer worker without pay until the hire you? This book was a total waste of money. Maybe the dummies book would have been a lot better. I should have ordered it or anything besides this garbage.

On the strength of the authoring company, AARP, I had some great expectations for this book and therefore bought it to read on my summer vacation at the lake. It was mostly a waste of time and money. The "great" in the title is my basic issue with this book, as many of the jobs it describes hardly rise to that level. IIRC, some of these wonderful opportunities include: Walmart Greeter; Rural Paper Delivery; Barista; and various volunteer opportunities such as Meals-on-Wheels. Maybe it is just me but virtually all of the jobs included in this book had already occurred to me (I'm a working professional, 57 years old in 2014) and I had a general sense of the nature of work out there. Nothing really new here for me, and none of the listings broke new ground for me either.

Interesting read. However a book wont/doesnt influence a manager to give a senior a chance over a younger, pretty face. No matter the experience.

This book offers ideas that are both traditional and non-traditional for those seeking to make the change. I liked the part-time section most as an option to stay engaged without sacrificing flexibility.

Nothing new here. Disappointed.
