I have had time to read through this book and attempt the two paintings attached. This book teaches technique but also lists the actual paint colors. Blending the correct paint colors really helps me. I had only painted with book instruction prior to attempting this and that was 25 years ago ( cartoons on a nursery wall). This book has been really valuable to me. I go REALLY SLOW, and take it one step at a time, but I like my progress so far.

I have numerous books on painting flowers, but this one is by far the best of them all! The directions give you a step-by-step with photos and insets to assist you. I have completed one of the paintings so far and have learned so many techniques to make my flower paintings more alive! I love this book! I will note that you would probably need a little experience in painting with acrylics as this book doesn't tell you what size or type brush, or a certain paper to use, but it gives the colors used and when to use them. It does give a lot of information on how to draw flowers as well. If you want to learn how to paint beautiful florals, this is the book to have! I wouldn't part with it for any amount of money!

Good book but not for beginners. You have to be pairing flowers in an intermediate to advance level to be able to understand and absorb the information on this book. Other than that you will have a book with nice photos that you will not be able to reproduce!

I was not sure if I should order this book, with so many painting books out there; did I really need this one? The price was low and that was good. Plus, I did want to know more in detail how to paint flowers better.Oh My Gosh... what a find this book is. It is just beautiful, very colorful with large pictures, and good written detail to learn from. This was a good addition to my painting books.

I haven't made it through all of the book yet, but the easy layout allows an artist to jump around a bit. I especially like the section on flower shapes and how to render the basic layout during the sketching stage. I would have liked more than one example or painting style of each of the flower examples, but for the price, I am quite happy with this book. It will definitely be helpful in my progress. However, I do wonder when art instructor authors will catch on that students REALLY like binder-style books. They are much easier to use.

Love this book! I just need to paint more often!

This is a beautifully illustrated book for any artist who loves flowers, but it's not for beginners. The paints and mediums required to get the effects as shown are not in the range commonly used by a notice painter. Good information though somewhat technical. Don't expect to produce delicate paintings at this level of difficulty without a lot of practice.

Volume 30 picks up where Volume 29 left off. An expedition from Alexandria et al. discovers a new community—the largest one The Walking Dead has ever seen. It looks to be fascinating, allows for one big reunion(!), and sets up potentially a lot of story. The slow moments and the emotional beats here are also very, very good. The volume is only hurt by some characters making some decisions that frankly don’t make a lot of sense and by some wooden dialogue. But I am really excited to see where this goes.

If you made it this far in the walking dead comics you're probably a fan...why do you need to look at reviews? By now you either love it or hate it.******Spoilers************Spoilers warning*****You finally get to meet the girl on the other end the the radio. And the common wealth has over 55k people in it... Something is seriously wrong here though. I can't wait to figure out what's next. I mean machines daughter? Wow did not see that coming. Great addition.i was wondering what bog adventure could possibly be next and still be interesting. I'm getting a little concerned they might run out of material. But the common wealth is interesting enough. Also who are the next bad guys with the whisperers gone?

These comics are the best. Different from the TV show but still just as good. Both stand alone with a few similarities. Will always be a fan. Sometimes I wish the images were in color though.

There is so much detail in the writing and character development. The tv show has none of this. The comic leaves you waiting to turn each page on suspense. Highly recommended.

Wow! Some great twists in these issues and, hopefully, another long story arc that might be "world changing" for our crew!

This is a singleton-spy versus scores of agents from “action-oriented” Washington acronym-agencies, plus covert stateside military assets.This is my first Gray Man novel which I enjoyed overall, and I will be looking at other books in this series. The writing is very good although overly descriptive in places; the plot-driven storyline is satisfyingly complex; the primary and secondary characters well-drawn.That said, at times the action—especially toward the end—swerved into realms of the fantastic, and the protagonist became a superhero. I’m thinking a combination of Bond, Bourne and maybe John Wick. The author is following in the footsteps of Ludlum, Trevanian, Lustbader & Clancy, so I’m guessing that superhuman protagonists are de rigueur for this genre.I was of two minds about rating this book. It wasn’t a 3 Stars book but really 3.5. Since I enjoyed reading most (>3/4) of this book, it’s 4 Stars.

Wow! I'm new to the Gray Man series and just finished reading all 5 books back to back. I am an avid reader of Thor, Flynn(Mills), Ben Coes, Marc Cameron and many many others in this genre. This author and series is by far the BEST. The action is non-stop at a break neck pace. The Gray Man, Court Gentry, is a "good guy" in a world where he is constantly up against nothing but bad. He's has been on the run from the CIA for 5 years, due to the "shoot on site" order the Director of NCS gets signed by the President. The thing is, he really DOES NOT know what he did to get into this situation. He followed orders, did his job well, actually was the best employee anyone could ask for. His reward? To have his own team at the CIA sent to terminate him. So, he runs for his life, and in the process becomes the "Gray Man". Court's skills make him the best, highly paid assassin in the business. He works all over the world, and along the way, he makes enemies, like the CIA, who want to kill him.Now, he has enemies everywhere and he is constantly hiding, watching over his shoulder and can never rest.What makes him so special? He not only is the best assassin in the world, he also only takes on jobs where he knows he is ridding the world of truly awful people. He does the right thing. Even through 5 years of hell, hiding out in 3rd world countries from everyone who's after him, he remains fiercely loyal to the United States. He is a patriot and really wants nothing more than to go "home" to the US AND to get answers as to why the CIA wants him dead. In this, the 5th book in the Gray Man series, he finally gets those answers.These books are so well written, the ideas that Mark Greaney come up, both that get Gentry into trouble, and the way he gets himself out, with are beyond heat pounding. Waiting for the next phase of what Court Gentry's life becomes is going to be like torture to this fan. Although, there is one thing that will make waiting for the next book bearable, the new book will be released on Feb. 21, 2017, my next birthday.

Back Blast is Mark Greaney's 5th installment in the hugely successful Gray Man series. Court Gentry has finally made it home to the USA, intending to get to the bottom of his original termination order. Greaney's been hinting at this backstory since book 1, and finally delivers the goods. Denny Carmichael, Gentry's nemesis comes at him full throttle, including using foreign agents on US soil. While old standbys such as Zack and Hanley play major roles, there are new players such as a new operator and a young, ambitious CIA "suit." Gentry does DC, gray man style and the action is non-stop and intense.The Gray Man tradecraft is nearly over the top, from knocking off an Aryan drug house to intervening in a convenience store robbery. At the same time, there are various perspectives trying to piece together the story beyond Gentry, including other CIA staff and newspaper reporters. All this is set against a backdrop of realistic news reporting (mostly CNN) that is mostly spin, but eerily familiar with today's headlines. There is even a short interlude of father - son bonding gray man style. Gradually, the story behind Back Blast (an old Gentry mission) unfolds, but not before several unique and unexpected twists and turns. The final denouement is both thrilling and climatic, worthy of a multiple installment spanning story-arc.With successful resolution of the gray man status that drove the previous series of escapades, Court is ready to start a new chapter in his life. While he is reunited with his former boss, he has a new handler and seems primed for new adventures.
