This book was okay. Honestly most of it is not about law or protecting your business. The bulk is about shrakas and personal growth which is not at all what I was looking for. I think Fraley forgot her audience is looking for legal advice and education not psychological information about the Ego or personal mantras. Many of the chapters seem repetitive and several pages are lists of how you as the client may be feeling about a particular scenario. She mentions her "cheerleader personality" and blonde hair multiple times which doesn't make me identify more with her (I believe that was her intention), instead it makes me question her ability to advise me as a trustworthy source of information. Obviously cheerleaders and blondes have a national stereotype as being dumb which threatens her credibility in the eyes of the reader. I know Fraley does not fit this stereotype but I say this as constructive criticism and encourage her to use different descriptions of herself and only mention them once. Overall, huge sections of this book could be taken out. The reason I keep two stars on this review is because the small segments of actual legal advice and information are GOLD. I would rate this five stars if I could just consolidate the book into purely legal information. However, since the bulk of the information was not legal information (but psychological and spiritual related) I felt like I wasted my time. I would not recommend this book but I would recommend the DIY resources listed on her website.

As a health coach, I was looking for a book that would allay some of my concerns and worries related to practicing my craft. I was so lucky to come upon this book! In it Lisa covers not only what I knew I didn't know but also what I didn't know I didn't know - and that was probably the most rewarding part. I read it from cover to cover, and I must say - my academic mind was at work. At times I thought that some sections were hardly relevant to the subject of law for small biz owners. But I kept an open mind and found that the books describes my situation almost perfectly and provides examples of how people have overcome similar challenges. Lisa's approach of combining spirituality and law is a wonderful synthesis (be quiet, academic brain!) Love the book and recommend it to any coach or entrepreneur who still doesn't have her "legal ducks in a row" ;)

Lisa Fraley does an incredible job of making getting legally covered not only clear and accessible, but actually fun and empowering. Easy Legal Steps breaks it down and makes it easy to recognize not only the "shoulds" of legal coverage, but the openings that happen for us emotionally and spiritually when we know that we are able to conduct our heart's true work on a firm foundation of solid protections. I've never come across any lawyer who brings such heart, soul and solid guidance to her work. Thank you, Lisa Fraley!

It scared the heck out of me when I read it. Considered the Book of Enoch is not included within the Holy Bible I am not sure it is completely accurate.The Secrets of the Book of Enoch says that the souls of animals will accuse a man on the judgment day if he had treated that animal badly.

A fascinating yet frightening look behind the scenes in heaven, it is a book handed down to Methusaleh by his father Enoch before the Flood and yes, angels could write and yes, Enoch was a scribe. It's intention is to be a warning to generations to come. It explains judgement on various generations and the form thereof as well as God's intolerance to sin and disobedience which started with the fall of Angels and their destiny. It explains situations we, as Christians, often ponder on. Here we find a lot of answers, and it is a shame that this book is not better known or read by God fearing Christians. I highly recommend it, very appropriate for these last days.

This book helped me to understand parts of the Bible that were sometimes unclear, and for me it brought a whole knew understanding to what was happening in the Old Testament and brought the New testament up to modern times and what is going on in the world today, but mostly it helped me to understand why there is so much hatred for GOD, Israel and America at this time.

This book isn't for everyone. It's for those seekers who know that there is more to the Bible than what is being taught. But if you're the kind of person who holds on to every word your pastor says as if it's law, then this book isn't for you.

This was one of the best books I have ever read! The book of Enoch was once loved and considered just as valid as any other book of the Bible. The era in which Enoch was given is the origin of many quotes given by the prophets, by Y'shua and his apostles as well that are found throughout scripture. It gives full explanation of the 'giants' (only slightly mentioned in Genesis and the origin of evil spirits, and further gives the history of fallen angels. The book of Enoch, the earliest in ancient times, yields more prophecy of any other book and takes you on a ride from his day, through the flood, to the Messiah and onward to the end of days...all in one book. And why was it taken out of circulation?...because when it was discovered it transgressed the doctrines of Jew and Gentile alike.

This appears to be a print on demand copy of the book on Enoch because the date of publish was about 3 days before I received it in the mail. There is no commentary. The book is littered with typos, missing or incorrect words and is horribly formatted with pages containing widows and orphans and verse numbers floating in the middle of paragraphs. Sentences end without periods, then continue on the next line... what a mess.The cover has a nice soft touch velvet feel, but the cover text looks like it was output on a dot matrix printer back in 1989.Pretty disappointed with this copy and I'm only keeping it because I intend to highlight and write notes all over it, so I really don't care that much about appearances.

I've read this book twice online but wanted one I could have in my hands. The cover is amazing; it's almost like suede leather and gives that antique look which is so appropriate. No serious Bible student should be without this amazing book. I've found literally dozens of verses that are directly quoted in new testament, not just the obvious two.

The Ancient of Days has fashioned a well-orchestrated creation. Everything from humans to angles to luminaries to animals have a purpose, a calling. But some in the creation choose not to prescribe to their appointed roles.Enoch is blessed and given beforehand knowledge of God’s plan for the redemption of His sheep and the punishment of the rebellious.This book is not an easy read. I searched outside sources to help me understand what was being described in some of the visions given. Words in some sections of the book have double meanings.

I have followed Chris Brown's Smart Football website for years, and bought this book (actually 2 of them) knowing that many of the chapters in the book would be very similar to posts I had already read on his blog. What I was expecting was more of a reference book, something that I could flip through for refreshers on basic terminology and offensive and defensive schemes. Chris Brown has mentioned before that there aren't very many good general football strategy books out there, and I was hoping that his book would fill the void.It turns out that the book is mostly copies of blog posts already on his site. In many cases the only difference between the book chapters and the blog posts are the removal of diagrams and videos explaining certain concepts. The original blog posts were very informative, and I assumed that in buying the book I would get additional material- more diagrams/examples, better organization so that it could be used as a reference, etc. But that's not what this book is.Despite being disappointed, I didn't mind buying the book because of the enjoyment I have gotten out of his website. However, the information in the book is the same as the website, and, it turns out, the website is a better medium for understanding the concepts. I hope one day Chris does write a reference book on modern football strategy.

I have been a huge spectator football fan for years and thought I knew a lot about the game. It takes a book like this to show how little I really know. Unfortunately, the author seems to assume the reader is a coach, former player or professional sports announcer. He uses terms and talks about formations with X's and O's that were way beyond my understanding. I was hoping this book would help me understand the terms and formations better, not assume I already knew them and could therefore appreciate how the football geniuses took those to the next level.I'm sure the book has much to offer for the right reader. Indeed, the parts I could understand were quite interesting. But in my opinion, this is not a book that can be enjoyed by the average spectator fan. It seems geared toward those who have been or are currently involved in playing or coaching the game and know it from the inside. That is not a criticism but rather an observation. Just be aware of that before you purchase the book.

This is an amazing book for football fans seeking to expand their technical knowledge of the game. It helped me know more about what's going on in the field before a play happens and why certain players line up in a particular way for a snap. It is more technical than I thought. The author writes a lot about some of the offensive and defensive formations used in the past and how current coaches have modified them. This is a good thing though because it's the kind of book you can read more than once and still learn something new. I learned way more by looking up the terms and people he wrote about. Highly recommend.

I am an avid football fan trying to get more into the tactics and plays teams use and why. I am also interested in the evolution of the game and the differences between college and the NFL.This book is an excellent primer for all football fans, short enough to read in a few days but packed with useful information that made me want to read more. I also really enjoy the accompanying blog over my lunch hour at work. If you are not pretty familiar with formations, schemes, positions and basic football tactics you might find this a little hard to follow. But before reading this my only experience with these was the NFL website, specifically the Playbook videos which break down the previous weeks interesting plays, and I was fine (Also I'm British)!If my quest for football information tactics were a meal, this is just a starter, but a delicious one!

The work was very insightful on the historical trace of both various defensive and offensive operational tactics utilized at both the collegiate and professional level of football. It highlighted the individual(s) who devised and implemented those tactics, and the coaches that would create variants or hybrids of the tactics to meet the ever changing demands of the sport. The author rides a fine line with the reader not to become overly complicated but in the same breath not simplistic in illustrating and breaking down the intricacies of the varying systems. This is an excellent work for both the casual and expert football observer.

I'm new to ADO, and ADO.NET 2.0. I found this book to be a useful learning tool. I'd purchased two other ADO.NET 2.0 books before this one, and tried using them. But realized I needed a beginner's book. I've just finished the 1st four chapters. And I'm happy with the book, and what I'm learning. I'll finish this book, before returning to the other two I've purchased.I find the book well written.A key issue for me is that Rebecca shows how to create components both manually and through the GUI. I find this quite useful, as now I can relate hand wired code to that generated by Microsoft. Also, I didn't know my way around the many ADO menus as well as I thought I did.I was able to install the database, and the samples work.If you're truly a beginner to ADO.NET 2.0, I strongly suggest this book (I'm new to ADO, but lots of experience with .NET forms, C/C++, realtime programming, COM, etc. - to give you an idea of the context in which I found the book useful).

I can't understand why there are so many negative reviews of this book. I have used the previous version of ado.net and bought this book to help learn what's new in 2.0. I found it to be very easy to understand and thorough. I didn't try to install the samples, so I don't know if there are problems installing them, but as far as the contents of the book, I have no complaints at all and would recommend it to someone moving from version 1.1 to 2.0.

I have used the Microsoft Press Step-By-Step series books for years. This book covering ADO 2.0 is one of the better ones. It treats a subject that is complex, particularly given the changes since version 1.0. The author did a good job of dividing the subject matter into logical segments and explaining it in terms understandable to the common soul. I feel it is important to read the 'between' material and not fall into the trap of skipping over these parts to do only the exercises.

I have found other Microsoft Step-by-Step books to be quite good, so I ordered this volume to get up to speed on ADO.NET 2.0. It has turned out to be a miserable experience for me.The book comes with a sample database in both MDB (Access) and MDF (SQL Server) formats. The author neglected to include an LDF file (a log file), which is an essential part of a SQL Server database. Without it, you can't attach the database to SQL Server!So, I'm unable to attach the sample database to SQL Server. Since all the exercises in the book are built around the sample database, it's more or less useless.Don't waste your money; at least, not until Microsoft gets this title right. Like all things Microsoft, that may have to wait until Version 3.0.

- It's sloppily written.This book is filled with lousy code which "works" but is often incorrect. Some of this is just sloppy code (e.g. calling ToString() on properties which are already strings) but some of it is more serious, like the try-catch-finally blocks in the transaction chapter which attempt to trap SqlExceptions but won't catch the DbExceptions that are thrown on concurrency errors. Or how about when she says the FieldCount property of a DataTableReader returns the number of rows instead of columns (pp 143-4)? The whole book is filled with mistakes like this.- The explanations are terrible.I've read some of the other reviews where someone has claimed they learned a lot from this book. I don't mean to come off as a Mr. Smarty-Pants, but I don't think these people learned as much as they think they did.The problem is that the author just shows you n ways to do thing x without any context whatsoever. Like all the examples where you spend a lot of time reading about different ways to add relations, constraints, etc. to DataSets. That's super but most people will never do that - you set that up in the DATABASE, not in your program code. The average person will use the DataSource wizard to generate all that code magically from a properly set up database. The author is just giving you a more verbose and hand-holding version of MSDN instead of really showing you how to use ADO.NET.The chapter on transactions (chapter 5) is a great example of how she fails to explain anything. Look on page 114 and ask yourself why you add the insert commands to the transaction but then call the update commands. Why do you think you do that? Go ahead and play with the code, trying inserts, updates and deletes to see how brittle that code really is and how easy it is to get concurrency errors. What happens if you insert a row and delete a different one and then try to update? The author really hasn't given you the understanding you need to work past these issues but you can bet this kind of thing will come up in the real world.I also hate when books about difficult, complex topics (threading, databases, etc.) make everything seem so sunny and easy when it's really not that way at all. This book does nothing to prepare you for common problems that will come up when you are trying to write your own database application.- The code samples are not that great.To begin with, the code is only available on the CD and not online. If you lose it, MS Press will happily send you another one (call MS press support) but why can't I just download it?My real beef with the examples is how non-pedagogical they are. Most exercises consist of drag-n-dropping a component and/or typing a few lines, hitting F5 and clicking a button to see a boring result. Each chapter has its own test application so there's no unified application to build and develop. There's no continuity and no repetition to build mastery. The author never shows you how to play around and explore what you just did.The database installation also leaves something to be desired. The installer doesn't recognize real SQL Server installations and doesn't provide the log file so if you want to install it elsewhere you'll have to install it on a workstation that does have SQL Server Express, copy the log file, uninstall it and then attach the files normally. Why didn't they just provide the log file to begin with?- SummaryThis book is terrible. Most people will only gain only a cursory knowledge of how ADO.NET works from reading this book and working through the examples. If you use Rebecca's code examples in a real application, your coworkers will hate you, your code will wind up on thedailywtf.com and you will get fired. It's also a complete rip-off at $[...]. If you cut out the duplicate C#/VB examples and long lists of properties and methods that you could get on MSDN you'd be down to about 100 pages. I'd highly recommend getting some other book.As a final note, although the book contains examples in VB and C# and does an ok job of being language neutral, you'll still see VB idioms like New() and the author is clearly a VB programmer. If that gives you fits, you'll definitely want another book. Way to perpetuate the "VB programmers are idiots" stereotype, Rebecca!

I got high hopes for this book before purchasing it based on some high reviews, and I have a fair understanding of dataset and how datarelations work. I was actually looking for an insight on how to use manipulate data and bind them to controls using ADO.NET's datarelation and binding manager, but I got confused some more after browsing thru the pages of this book.This is not a book for beginning ADO.NET enthusiasts, as you'll get nothing from this book.
